Video games: GOOD or BAD 🤔

•  Several video games are played across the globe by various aged people. Some people believe that games are harmful for the school going children whereas, some believe that they can be a good source for refreshment during break times. 
  
• Different logical points are considered for children playing video games. Firstly, if a child scores below what they think they can, the entire thought process goes on and on for the next few hours. As not being adults, time limit for playing game also slips their mind which leads to excessive playing and less productivity. Secondly, there is nothing new to learn from a video game by playing again and again and hence the productivity decreases again. A child full with potential would be distracted from the path which he/she is following. Thirdly, it is observed that a five minute break becomes an addiction. Children get their brains so drowned in playing that they don’t understand that this has become an addiction for them. These points can be explained with an example of a girl. Riya was a topper in her school and was best in her studies, a concentrating and a hardworking student. While playing video games for 10 mins a day, she wasn’t sure how it became 4-5 hours. This distracted her from the correct path which she was following, which in turn destroyed her hard work all through the year.

  On the other hand, there are some positive points for playing video games too. Firstly, if played in limit, it gives good refreshment. Secondly, it enhances the co-ordination of hands with brain. Thirdly, if the child looses in a game or two, it gives them the spirit to back up and fight back. Therefore, it gives them an idea of how much work the opponent puts in and hence motivates them to work even more harder. Considering all these points in mind, I think playing video games for school going children is more harmful than beneficial. Due to various reasons like children not adhering their time limit, etc. at that current age, playing video games is harmful.
